Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aim<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the institute is to impart Professional Education to aspiring students according to the spirit of love
and compassion for the comprehensive health care of all people irrespective of age, sex, caste, creed or race.
The motto of the institute is: \u201cLet your light shine before men<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philosophy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. We believe in the sacredness of human life and the dignity of the person.<\/li>
  2. We recognize health as the fundamental right of every individual.<\/li>
  3. We believe in the values of principles in education and formation of dedicated personnel in the field
    of health care<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The course consists of two years of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. Student\u2019s with pass marks in
    +2\/VHSE and a minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology as optional subjects will be admitted
    for regular course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    SABARIGIRI HOSPITAL<\/strong> was inaugurated on 16th September 1979. It is a modern Multi Speciality hospital, fully equipped to cater to the ailing patients suffering from the various system disorders under the following disciplines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Medicine | Surgery | Gynaecology & Obstetrics | Pediatrics | ENT | Anaesthesiology | Physiotherapy | Sonology | Radiology | Pathology | Orthopedics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Hospital has got excellent facilities to render effective treatment with diagnostic accuracy and medical care of a very high order in the various disciplines. There are several Doctors, Qualified Nurses, Paramedical, and other Staff working in the hospital at present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Hospital consisting of several floors, Operation Theatres, Delivery Room, Intensive Coronary Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Ultra Sound Scanning, Medical, Surgical, Paediatric, Post Operative Wards, Computerised clinical lab, ECG and X-Ray departments, VIP Rooms etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Drug Store and Canteen also provide good service to the patients and bystanders patronizing the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    a) Pass in +2\/VHSE with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.
    b) Candidates should be of good physical and mental health with a good moral character.
    c) Sufficient knowledge of English to follow lectures is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Application for admission should be made in the prescribed form available with us. The following documents
    should be forwarded along with the application form duly signed and filled in the candidates own handwriting
    The original application should reach the office before the stipulated date. Incomplete applications without
    requisite enclosures will be rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Completed applications should be returned so as to reach the office along with the following documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Photostat copies of:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Attested mark List of +2\/ VHSE<\/li>
    2. SSLC showing age, Date Of Birth and Mark List.<\/li>
    3. Any other educational merit certificates.<\/li>
    4. Attested copies of transfer Certificate and conduct certificate from the Head of Institution last studied.<\/li>
    5. A covering letter in candidates own handwriting or self addressed stamped envelop with complete postal
      address and pin code.<\/li>
    6. If belonging to Scheduled Caste or Backward Community, certificate to that effect from the Tahsildar of the
      concerned Taluk<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Admission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Interview and selection of the candidates are done by the Selection Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      iv) Forensic Medicine
      v) Clinical Pathology
      vi) Parasitology<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Discipline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Parents are not allowed to go to the class rooms.<\/li>
      2. Parents and visitors will not be permitted to see any student during class hours<\/li>
      3. On working days and at school functions students are expected to wear the uniform prescribed for
        the session. They must come to the institute neatly dressed.<\/li>
      4. A student shall have a separate minimum attendance of 80% in theory and practical in each subject
        to become eligible to appear for the BMLT final examination.<\/li>
      5. Absence from class shall be permitted only with valid leave letters countersigned by parent or
        guardian.<\/li>
      6. Medical leave shall be considered with medical certificate.<\/li>
      7. Any student unauthorisedly absenting from class continuously for 15 days or more
        will have to re-register for the course with all formalities and fines applicable.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Medium of Instruction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Medium of instruction is English<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Library<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Books are to be used with extreme care. If any book issued to any student is lost or damaged the cost for
        replacement or for the rectification of the same, shall be realised from the caution money of the student
        concerned. A good sense of decorum and discipline are expected of every student in the school, library,
        hospital as well as in the entire campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Class Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Classes on all week days expect 2nd Saturdays and public holidays from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. Practical
        classes will be arranged according to the appropriate time table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
